What kind of information does  Ayurvedian collect?

  1. We collect different personal information from you depending on how you want to engage with us at Ayurvedian. We also automatically collect non-identifiable data through the Site (such as IP addresses, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information on actions taken on our website, and dates and times of website visits).
  2. At Ayurvedian we are committed to ensuring our Users’ privacy and peace of mind. Your personal information (“Personal Information”) is gathered only when you choose to share it. For purposes of the Privacy Notice, Personal Information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. We divide all of this into direct and indirect personal information, as you will see below.
  3. Direct Personal Information. We gather your Personal Information when you purchase products or services or register to attend an event by providing us with information such as (by way of an example) your name, email, address, and payment information. Additionally, we gather your Personal Information when you register for an online (free or paid) program, take a quiz, and/or sign up for a newsletter or promotional emails, or when you place a request for customer service by using the “Contact” feature contained within the Site. In both of these examples, we require the collected information in order to fulfill your request for a product or information. To the extent that we use this information beyond the immediate fulfillment of your request, we retain it so that we may contact you about new products, sales, and other promotional messages we think will interest you. Finally, your Personal Information is gathered by us when clicking any one (1) or more on sponsored advertisements that we may now or hereafter provide for our Users to view while on the Site.  Additionally, you can always choose to opt-out of receiving promotional e-mail and electronic newsletter communications that we may send to visitors and customers from time to time (see the Section on Email Choice/Opt-out for more information).

Technology and Indirect Personal Information.

  1. Our Site automatically logs indirect Personal Information from visitors. We consider indirect Personal Information to be data that does not clearly identify you but under some circumstances could. This sort of anonymous and indirect information includes: IP addresses, operating system or platform identification information, browser identification information, information about the Internet website(s) from which a visitor may have linked to our Site, visitor activity on the Site, and the dates and times of Site visits and purchases. We collect and retain this type of information through the use of cookies and other technologies, to assist us in operating and improving the Site. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-identifying information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered Personal Information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as Personal Information. Similarly, to the extent that non-personal or indirect information is combined with Personal Information, we treat the combined information as Personal Information for the purposes of this Privacy Notice.
  2. Ayurvedian and our partners (e.g. marketing partners) use a variety of technologies such as cookies, beacons, pixel tags and scripts, to track Site performance, to make your visit better, and for aggregate Site analytics. These technologies are used in analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies from our service providers or partners on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
  3. As another example, we may use session and persistent “cookies,” session logs, web beacons, GIF/pixel tags, banner ads, third-party click tracking analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), third party retargeting networks that may display our advertisements to you on other sites that you visit to remind you about us, and third party networks that serve user-requested emails (e.g., for a refer-a-friend email) to collect non-personally identifiable or other aggregated information about site visitors.
  4. We use cookies to remember users’ preferences (e.g. Ayurvedian search filters), for authentication, for source tracking, for analytics, or for product recommendations. You may be able to configure your browser to accept or reject all or some cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set — all browsers are different, so check the “Help” menu of your particular browser to learn how to change your Cookie preferences. Even if you have set your browser to refuse cookies, you will still be able to browse the Site. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our Site, but your ability to use some features or areas of our Site may be limited.
  5. We may use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 or Flash to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity use LSOs such as HTML5 or Flash to collect and store information. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSOs.
  6. We engage service providers either to display advertising on our Site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this Site and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out by clicking here(or if located in the European Union click here). Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. You will continue to receive generic ads.
  7. Non-personally-identifiable information may be shared in the future with third parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to Users. Please note that Ayurvedian advertisers that may now or hereafter present or sponsor advertisements on the Site (e.g. ads presented by Google) may set and access their cookies on your computer once you click on one of their advertisements. Any advertiser’s use of cookies is subject to such advertiser’s privacy policies and terms and conditions, and not Ayurvedian Privacy Notice or Terms. This also applies to data captured through the presence of social media links on our site, which may collect information on the fact that you have visited a page with such a social media link even if you do not click on that link.

Does  Ayurvedian share my information with third parties?

Except in the limited circumstances set forth below, Ayurvedian will not sell, share or disclose Personal Information it collects to third parties without your prior consent.

  1. Service Providers.
    1. We may in connection with the Site use the services of third parties (i.e., technology consultants and CRM vendors), who may, in the course of providing services to us, be given access to the information you have provided to us. 2. These outside contractors or agents may temporarily store some information on their servers, but they may only use your Personal Information to provide us with a specific service and not for any other purpose. Our brand partners are not permitted to market to the individuals whose information the partner has received only from us.
